A gathering of international students (and many to follow) which we hope someday will reside in their new home on campus.
The Global Friendship House will be a caring home away from home; a place to foster new relationships and to help with practical, personal, and spiritual needs.
We have a unique opportunity to reach the nearly 2,000 future international leaders from over 100 nations who are studying at Old Dominion University. How will they be treated? What impressions will they take home with them about this powerful nation and the Christians who live here? God said, "Go" and we have gone to the far places of our world. But now He has brought the world to us.
GCRI partnered with other fundraising initiatives to begin securing funds for a residence hall adjacent to the Old Dominion University campus. This home will be salted with college Christians gifted in relationship building. The object is to be God's conduit for the ultimate relationship - the Savior to the sinner.
"When a foreigner lives with you in your land, don't take advantage of him. Treat the foreigner the same as a native. Love him like one of your own." Lev. 19:33-34
