This voodoo center is the home of a major priest; the animals on the front are worshipped and sacrificed to in order to invoke various requests.
The voodoo religion is satanic through and through. This idol is one of thousands that dot the countryside and receive the worship of the people. Voodoo is perhaps the most flagrant worship of Satan in this world. The country of Benin desperately needs the light of Christ to eradicate this offense to our Lord.
Benin is the voodoo capital of the world. Christ's Power Ministries trains missionaries to deal with voodoo and its power in the lives of men and women. Over 400 indigenous missionaires have been trained and sent out to share the gospel. The Cotonou School of Missions is serving as a permanent training facility.
An excerpt from literature from Christian Aid Missions regarding the ministry in Benin:
"For many years most of the churches in Benin were closed, and even hostile, to the idea of missions. Claude (the leader) faced much rejection and persecution. but after many years of praying and speaking privately and publicly to instill missionary vision in the lives of believers, many churches began to understand the heart of God for missions and have entrusted their workers to his training. Today CPM oversees 130 church congregations, all of which meet in homes or grass huts."
