Children are helping with a new vegetable garden. Gardens assist with the operational cost of the home and provide fresh, healthy food.
The upper elevations of the Himalayas are brutally cold and the people who live there are marginalized. Food is scarce and there are no schools or medical facilities. Local Christians worked to provide a group home at a lower elevation for children to live temporarily in order to stay healthy and learn of the Lord.
The facility, funded by GCRI donors, accommodates 20 children and consists of a kitchen, dining hall, dorm rooms and bathrooms. It is built close to the church where the children will have a place of worship.
This project will change lives in the Sharnub community as children are educated and return to their homes to share the love of Christ with their families. Due to the remoteness of this area, this church is one of the first to make a breakthrough in sharing the gospel and planting a witness among the SharNub people.
