Missionaries in remote areas of Nepal were previously required to travel for more than two weeks to attend training at the nearest Christian center in Katmandu. Much of this travel was on foot. This was particularly difficult as most Christian workers are farmers who need to be close to their fields and livestock.
GCRI donors provided the funds for a missionary training facility to be built closer to the remote areas so that pastors and church-planters could receive instruction in Scripture and ministry and return sooner to care for their homes and farms.
